Its A.I. improves with usage and the company plans to add automatic color correction for decayed photos and search across its 70M+ photo archive. Photomyne holds patents for scanning other media (business cards, documents, sticky notes) and is considering expansion beyond photos. The company currently has a team of 16 and plans to grow to around 25 while scaling into Japan and Southeast Asia. The team is 13 employees based in Tel Aviv and includes founders with backgrounds at LabPixies, Photogene and HP. Upcoming product updates include an upgraded ML model to improve detection, a revamped scanning UX, cloud-only backup to free device storage, faster scanning and collaborative photo albums; an Android app is also in development.
