PhysioMedics offers PhysioWizard, a clinically validated online and mobile self-assessment and triage platform that patients can complete without a clinician. The platform matches patients to recommended treatments, provides patient-led self-care advice, and generates detailed patient and clinical reports accessible via portals. It is utilised by healthcare providers and insurers to reduce the cost and impact of MSK treatment by directing patients to the correct care quickly and safely. Edinburgh-based PhysioMedics was founded in 2010 by Chartered Physiotherapist Kirsten Lord and recently appointed Charles Sweeney as CEO to lead the next stage of growth. The company secured £1.5m of equity and grant funding from Archangels, Scottish Enterprise and Innovate UK to accelerate commercialisation and its product roadmap. Planned use of proceeds includes scaling commercial operations and expanding into European and Indian markets. The Innovate UK grant is intended to speed product development that the company says will revolutionise MSK triage delivery.
