Piiano offers a privacy engineering platform that centralizes and secures personally identifiable information for enterprises. Its core products are the Piiano Vault, a self-hosted protected database deployed in a customer's virtual private cloud, and a code scanner to locate decentralized PII. The Vault serves as a secure PII directory that pseudonymizes other data stores while enabling developers to partition and isolate sensitive data. The platform gives security and privacy teams visibility, access tracking and policy enforcement across application codebases to streamline privacy practices and compliance. Piiano raised a $9M seed round and will use the proceeds for R&D and go-to-market activities. A demo release of the Piiano Vault will be made available upon launch.
