The company emphasizes giving small businesses access to seasoned financial expertise—CFO-level strategy, monthly variance analysis, and spending controls—previously available only to large enterprises. Pilot has also focused on helping customers claim small business tax credits, including R&D payroll credits. Last year Pilot booked over $3 billion in bookkeeping transactions for customers that range from pre-revenue startups to companies generating more than $30M in revenue. The company says it will deepen its back-office services to help clients focus on growth and financial outcomes.
