Pixm
85 Broad St 27th FL, New York, NY, 10004, United States
Overview
Pixm uses advanced computer vision (convolutional networks and ML models trained on millions of labeled images) to identify and stop targeted spear-phishing attacks at the browser "point-of-click." Its frictionless browser solution can be deployed to an unlimited number of devices in minutes and protects users regardless of the channel a link is delivered. Pixm says it blocks zero-day phishing that flows around traditional corporate protections via vectors such as Facebook, LinkedIn, WhatsApp, Slack, SMS and others; its own breach data indicates over 50% of phishing breaches occur via social media. The company has just launched its enterprise product and is rapidly gaining adoption in the enterprise market. Pixm recently hired senior industry executives for product and business development (including Matt Mosley as CPO and Chris Wilburn as VP of Business Development and Strategic Alliances) to support go-to-market and partnerships. Investors and advisors include cybersecurity founders such as Ron Gula and Chris Wysopal, and the raise will be used to further deliver Pixm's computer vision solution to enterprises preparing for a more distributed workforce (a recent Gallup poll cited ~45% of full-time U.S. employees working remotely part- or full-time).
