Platter provides a food-native back-office operating system built around how the food trade works, with three connected layers: orders and sales (including digital ordering, online storefronts and buyer-specific price list management), operations (delivery planning, stock and production visibility, and warehouse connections), and finance and invoicing (automated invoices into Sage and Xero and embedded invoice factoring via a partner). The product has been live since mid 2025 and Platter has onboarded over 30 customers, each processing approximately £3–£10 million in annual trade through the platform. Collectively the platform is on track to process well over £100 million in annual trade and has recorded zero customer churn since launch. Platter targets largely small UK food and beverage manufacturers and wholesalers such as cheesemakers, bakeries, sauce producers, drinks brands, chilled foodservice wholesalers and regional dairies. Its finance layer includes automated invoicing integrations and an embedded invoice factoring facility through a partner to accelerate supplier payments. The company positions itself to create significant switching costs by becoming the system of record for ordering, inventory, production, delivery and invoicing, and the ownership of invoice and transaction data is presented as a foundation for expanding into payments and other embedded services.
