Pluang
The Plaza Office Tower 15th Floor Unit 15 B-C, Jl. M.H. Thamrin Kav. 28-30, Jakarta, DKI Jakarta, 10350, Indonesia
Overview
Pluang operates a retail investment platform that historically generated most of its revenue from gold transaction fees and has expanded offerings to include US stocks, cryptocurrency and, as of April, Indonesia Stock Exchange-listed equities. The company reported group revenue of US$30 million last year and EBITDA profitability in the same period, and it serves more than 13 million registered accounts. Pluang has maintained a workforce of about 200 employees following a 10% reduction in 2023 and is implementing automation to handle onboarding after a surge of more than 50,000 account applications for its equities launch strained verification operations. Management paused marketing for the new equities service while it automates onboarding, a process expected to take two to three weeks. The firm made its first external market entry in June 2025 through a Philippines SEC sandbox allowing investment in US stocks with Philippine pesos and is targeting an official launch in the Philippines next year if testing succeeds. CEO Claudia Kolonas has emphasized a conservative growth approach, keeping recent fundraising in reserve for potential acquisitions or international expansion rather than immediate deployment.
