Point One Navigation

231 6th St, San Francisco, CA, 94103, United States

Overview

Founded in 2016, Point One Navigation has built a positioning engine that fuses augmented GNSS, computer vision, and sensor fusion, delivering location accuracy down to 1 centimeter. Its technology is typically delivered as a software API that can run on existing vehicle hardware, with an optional chipset for platforms lacking the requisite sensors. The company’s solution is already embedded in more than 150,000 vehicles from an unnamed EV manufacturer and supports fleets such as a 300,000-vehicle last-mile delivery operation, major mowing and turf-care makers, and a global street and racing bike OEM. Over the past year, the number of manufacturers using Point One’s platform has grown tenfold across automotive, robotics, industrial, and wearable sectors. Central to its offering is the Polaris RTK Network—a dense grid of lunchbox-sized reference stations across North America, Europe, and Asia that maintains centimeter-level accuracy even in sparsely populated areas. The firm is now extending its capabilities to long-term indoor navigation for factories and warehouses. Revenue figures were not disclosed, but the company’s expanding customer base and broad sector adoption underscore accelerating commercial traction. The recent Series C financing will fund further build-out of the RTK network, indoor navigation R&D, and overall technology scaling.
