Powerful Medical develops PMcardio, a certified AI-powered ECG interpretation platform that analyzes images of 12‑lead ECGs and compares them against millions of prior patient records. The device detects occlusion myocardial infarction (acute heart attacks) and 38 other cardiac abnormalities at first contact, aiming to close a critical diagnostic gap. The company is led by CEO Martin Herman and positions PMcardio as a new standard in cardiac diagnostics. Financially, Powerful Medical announced €7.5m in new funding, comprising a €2.5m grant and a €5m follow-on investment from the European Innovation Council. Management says the investment will be used to broaden the company’s reach within the EU and to pioneer entry into the US. Early backers and partners cited in the announcement include Life Extension Ventures, Venture to Future Fund (backed by the European Investment Bank), Zero Gravity Capital, and Civitta.
