Overview

Preezie is a Melbourne startup founded in 2017 that builds an online solution to the traditional in-store sales assistant for e-commerce. The platform utilises guided selling, data-driven insights and behavioural science to deliver personalised shopping experiences, powering over 700,000 individualised experiences every month. Preezie works with just over 100 merchants globally, including Baby Bunting, Shaver Shop, Adore Beauty and Guitar Center. The company has seen rapid revenue growth of over 500% and has more than doubled its team in the past 12 months; it plans to triple the team over the next 12 months. It raised capital to fund team and product growth and to support international expansion focused on the US and UK. The venture came to investors' attention after traction following the Skalata Ventures seed program in 2019. Preezie provides e-commerce retailers with a quiz-based discovery tool that asks customers about preferences and price point, then directs them to products meeting those criteria. The product is designed to recreate personalised assistance online to increase conversions. The company was founded by Quoc Nguyen, Michael Tutek and Luke Milkovic three years ago. Preezie joined the Skalata Ventures accelerator program in 2019 and used the six-month program to revitalize its brand and messaging. During that program the founders reported a 50% revenue jump. Most recently the startup secured $575,000 in seed funding from Skalata Ventures and a handful of angel investors.
