  • Reshop

    Led · Equity · Jan 2025

Reshop, launched in 2024, is focused on making refunds faster and more rewarding for both shoppers and merchants by providing immediate access to refunded money. The platform aims to increase shopper satisfaction and drive more sales for retailers. Early retail partners include Alo Yoga, Steve Madden, Dolce Vita, Alala, and P.J. Salvage. Early adoption metrics show 1 in 2 customers make a repeat purchase from the original merchant, with the majority of repeat purchases occurring within 24 hours and some in as little as one minute. Reshop intends to use new funding to accelerate go-to-market efforts and scale its network of partner retailers. The company is positioning itself to redefine the post-purchase funnel to benefit both retailers and consumers.

  • Ordermentum

    Participated · Equity · Sep 2023

Founded in 2014 by Adam Theobald and Andrew Low, Ordermentum has built a digital backbone for Australia’s wholesale food and beverage trade, connecting roughly 50,000 venues with suppliers through a single ordering, payments and reconciliation platform. The company claims deep integration in day-to-day industry workflows and, after its September 2023 all-stock merger with rival Foodbomb, had scaled to about 40,000 venues, 850 suppliers and processed more than $1.2 billion in orders annually. Ordermentum says it will use new capital to deepen AI capabilities and pursue acquisitions that complement its existing wholesale technology stack. The recent financing values the merged business above $150 million and is intended to accelerate product and market expansion while enabling partial exits for some earlier investors.

  • Breef

    Participated · Series A · Feb 2023

Breef is the world’s first online agency marketplace that connects brands with vetted boutique agencies via proprietary technology and payment innovations. The platform hosts more than 10,000 agencies across 25 countries and has passed $100 million in project value, serving clients from Pantone and Spotify to Heineken and emerging brands like Byte and Flying Embers. It streamlines planning, scoping, pitching and payments, delivering agency pitches within seven days and replacing net-30 terms with same-day payments through BreefPay. Breef says brands save an average of 35% in fees per project through competitive pricing and shortened timelines. The company will use new funding to evolve the product, roll out a new platform experience, expand its global team and open its first international bases in the UK and Australia, and invest further in its payment infrastructure and partner integrations. Founded in 2019 and headquartered in New York City and Aspen, CO, Breef has raised $21 million to date. Breef operates an online marketplace that matches brands with boutique ad agencies and streamlines planning, scoping, pitching and payments. The platform focuses on team-based projects rather than small freelance jobs, with average engagements of about $25,000 and six months in length. The company reports millions of dollars in projects created on the platform each month and hosts more than 5,000 vetted boutique agencies across 20 countries. Breef says users save an average of 32% in product costs versus traditional agency models and counts customers including Spotify, Brex, Shutterstock, Bluestone Lane and Kinrgy. It launched Breef(pay), a buy-now-pay-later project funding service to ease agency cash-flow and payment terms. The founders plan to continue developing the technology and hiring talent to make the system secure and scalable.

  • CredShare

    Participated · Equity · Feb 2022

CredShare provides a digital platform to manage credentials — from university degrees and RSAs to vaccine certificates — in one secure location and to enable secure, frictionless exchange between issuers, holders and receivers. The app returns control of credential data to users, allowing businesses and individuals to share only the information they choose when they choose. Dashboard functionality lets employers run real-time compliance checks and receive notifications when documentation expires. The company operates a subscription-based model and currently services a number of Australian businesses. CredShare says it is building a scalable, highly secure platform and is preparing to launch the next evolution of its product that eliminates the need to share and store sensitive credential information. It is seeking beta testing participants ahead of a planned March general release.

  • Preezie

    Led · Series A · Nov 2021

Preezie is a Melbourne startup founded in 2017 that builds an online solution to the traditional in-store sales assistant for e-commerce. The platform utilises guided selling, data-driven insights and behavioural science to deliver personalised shopping experiences, powering over 700,000 individualised experiences every month. Preezie works with just over 100 merchants globally, including Baby Bunting, Shaver Shop, Adore Beauty and Guitar Center. The company has seen rapid revenue growth of over 500% and has more than doubled its team in the past 12 months; it plans to triple the team over the next 12 months. It raised capital to fund team and product growth and to support international expansion focused on the US and UK. The venture came to investors' attention after traction following the Skalata Ventures seed program in 2019. Preezie provides e-commerce retailers with a quiz-based discovery tool that asks customers about preferences and price point, then directs them to products meeting those criteria. The product is designed to recreate personalised assistance online to increase conversions. The company was founded by Quoc Nguyen, Michael Tutek and Luke Milkovic three years ago. Preezie joined the Skalata Ventures accelerator program in 2019 and used the six-month program to revitalize its brand and messaging. During that program the founders reported a 50% revenue jump. Most recently the startup secured $575,000 in seed funding from Skalata Ventures and a handful of angel investors.
