Pridatect develops an intuitive legaltech platform that enables small and medium-sized enterprises to meet data protection obligations (LOPD) without additional internal legal resources. The product offers a visual interface for identifying and analysing data risks, implementing solutions, acting as an external DPO, and delivering e-learning for employees. The platform is used by thousands of companies across Germany, Spain and the U.K. The company intends to use new funding to continue its international commercial expansion and to recruit key profiles to meet sector needs. In December 2020 Pridatect closed a €2.2M financing round to support this growth. The transaction is supported by the InnovFin guarantee mechanism with financial backing from the European Union under Horizon 2020. Pridatect offers a SaaS platform that automates GDPR/LOPD compliance workflows, enabling gestorías, consultancies, marketing firms and legal practices to generate documentation, perform risk assessments and certify compliance. The platform supports multiple languages, provides more than 400 industry-specific templates, allows uploading custom templates, offers permanent legal support and delivers client documentation via secure white-label portals. Pridatect says its solution can reduce the time required for GDPR compliance by up to 80% depending on client complexity and automates record-keeping for employees, IT assets, sites and other registers. With six months in the market at the time of the article, the company reported over 200 clients who have in turn adapted more than 1,500 companies to the GDPR. Founded in 2017, Pridatect maintains commercial offices in Barcelona, Madrid and Germany and positions itself as a leading solution in Spain. The company plans to consolidate its Spanish presence, expand commercially in Europe (notably Germany and the UK) and continue developing and updating the platform to address compliance needs.
