Profitero provides an enterprise eCommerce SaaS analytics platform used by Adidas, L’Oreal, General Mills and more than 4,000 brands to accelerate online sales. Its platform combines Amazon sales and share metrics with digital-shelf analytics and estimates daily Amazon sales to help brands measure market share and size category opportunities. Profitero’s technology helps brands optimize the 4Ps (Product, Placement, Price and Promotions) across 8,000 retailer sites and 50 countries and uncovers competitor behavior. The company says customers using Profitero grow their Amazon sales 70 percent faster than category competitors, on average. Profitero recently announced a new executive leadership team and a product roadmap intended to support the next stage of growth. The company framed the funding and leadership changes as responses to accelerated eCommerce adoption amid COVID-19. Profitero provides e-commerce intelligence and online insights to retailers and brands via a SaaS platform. Its core product monitors more than 220 million prices in near real-time and delivers analytics to customers including Staples, Sam’s Club, Waitrose and Ocado. The company positions itself as the "Nielsen for online global retailers and brands." Profitero plans to use new funding to double its 40-strong engineering team and to expand its presence in North America and abroad. The business focuses on near real-time pricing intelligence and online market monitoring. It also appointed Iran Salim, former CEO of MarkMonitor, to its board. Profitero is a Dublin, Ireland-based provider of an online competitive intelligence service for retailers. It monitors competitors’ prices, stock availability and shipping charges and currently tracks 27.5 million products across 2,500 retail websites. Clients include Tesco Direct, Worten, and market research firm Nielsen. The firm was established in 2010 by CEO Vol Pigrukh, CTO Dmitry Vysotski, and VP Engineering Kanstantsin Chernysh and also has offices in Belarus. Profitero raised €750K in funding in a round led by the Bank of Ireland Start-up and Emerging Sectors Equity Fund, managed by Delta Partners, with participation from Enterprise Ireland. The company intends to use the capital to continue to develop its product and expand into the European and US markets.
