Pureplay Skin Sciences India owns vegan skincare brand Plum and men's grooming brand Phy. Founded in 2013 by Shankar Prasad, Plum was the first fully vegan and cruelty-free skincare brand in India and currently offers 60 products. The company raised Rs 110 crore (about $14.9M) in a Series B round led by Faering Capital, with Unilever Ventures and Trifecta Capital participating. It says the funding will be used to expand its product range and market presence. Pureplay plans to launch a new bodycare range including moisturisers, scrubs, and body butters.
