Q-Factor

Menachem Begin Street 35, Kiryat Motzkin, Haifa District, 2623190, Israel

Overview

Q-Factor was founded in 2026 by four leading physicists from the Weizmann Institute of Science and the Technion and had operated in stealth before its public emergence. The company is developing a full-scale quantum computer using neutral atom technology and says it has identified architectural bottlenecks in existing systems. Its stated goal is to enable continuous scalability of neutral-atom systems toward and beyond one million qubits. Founders include Prof. Nir Davidson, Prof. Ofer Firstenberg, Prof. Yoav Sagi, and Dr. Guy Raz, bringing deep academic and technical leadership to the venture. Q-Factor is backed by a $24 million Seed round and a grant from the Israel Innovation Authority, and counts institutional investors and the founders' academic institutions among its shareholders.
