Overview

The Weizmann Institute of Science is one of the world’s leading multidisciplinary basic research institutions in the natural and exact sciences. It is located in Rehovot, Israel, just south of Tel Aviv. It was initially established as the Daniel Sieff Institute in 1934, by Israel and Rebecca Sieff of London in memory of their son Daniel. In 1949, it was renamed for Dr. Chaim Weizmann, the first President of the State of Israel and Founder of the Institute.

Founders include Prof. Nir Davidson, Prof. Ofer Firstenberg, Prof. Yoav Sagi, and Dr. Guy Raz, bringing deep academic and technical leadership to the venture. Q-Factor is backed by a $24 million Seed round and a grant from the Israel Innovation Authority, and counts institutional investors and the founders' academic institutions among its shareholders.

    Quantum Art was spun out of Prof. Roee Ozeri's group at the Weizmann Institute of Science and is led by CEO and co-founder Dr. Tal David, CTO Dr. Amit Ben Kish and CSO Prof. Roee Ozeri. The company focuses on trapped-ion quantum computing and has developed proprietary techniques for multi-qubit gates, scalable modular architectures, and robust quantum error correction. It is advancing a multi-core roadmap including Perspective, a planned 1,000-qubit system aimed at commercial-scale deployment. Quantum Art is transitioning toward commercialization with plans for a Quantum-as-a-Service (QaaS) platform that lets customers move from algorithm development and co-design to execution on its hardware.     UltraSight, formerly OnSight Medical, is a Tel Aviv-based digital health company that develops an AI platform for ultrasound devices to perform real-time sonography at the point of care. Its core product provides real-time AI guidance for cardiac imaging across clinics, community hospitals, ambulances and remote settings. The company recently raised $13M in a Series B funding round. UltraSight intends to use the funds to advance U.S. clinical programs for its real-time AI guidance in a variety of care settings. Led by CEO Davidi Vortman, UltraSight aims to enable medical professionals to diagnose patients wherever they are. The company focuses on point-of-care sonography to expand access to cardiac imaging.
