2nd Cross Rd, Indiranagar, Bengaluru, Karnataka, 560038, India
Overview
QikPod is building a large network of smart lockers across Indian cities that let shoppers pick up packages using mobile notification codes. Packages are delivered in batches of up to 1,000 to QikPod lockers, and customers can retrieve items within 24 hours by entering a code. The company charges businesses a per-use fee and offers an open platform and API to manage locker operations. QikPod aims to install at least 50,000 lockers in India’s 10 biggest cities over the next 18 months and to have units within 100 meters of residents in major cities. The startup is preparing to launch pilot programs in January, and Foxconn Mobile will build the locker hardware. Founder Ravi Gururaj plans to extend the network into other verticals such as grocery deliveries and dry-cleaning pickups after establishing e-commerce logistics.
