Hamburgstraat 3, Antwerp, Antwerpen, 2030, Belgium
Overview
Qpinch develops a patented chemical heat transformer inspired by the ATP/ADP cycle to upgrade low-grade waste heat into usable process heat with low electricity consumption. The closed-loop technology is scalable from 1 to >50 MW and targets petrochemical, chemical, food & feed, paper & pulp and similar heavy industries. Qpinch has delivered its first MW-scale installations to Borealis and Kuraray and signed strategic collaboration agreements with Boortmalt and Chiyoda Corporation to commercialize the technology in Japan. SABIC Ventures is a strategic partner and investor since 2018. The company is a Ghent University spin-off with headquarters in the Port of Antwerp. With fresh equity, Qpinch plans to strengthen its commercial team, expand engineering capacity and accelerate international roll-out to help customers meet 2030 CO2 targets.
