Qubit Pharmaceutical develops a proprietary software platform called Atlas that leverages supercomputers and quantum computers to model quantum effects and create digital twins of molecules for drug discovery. Atlas performs simulations in hours that the company says would take years by conventional methods, improving prediction quality, interpretability, and speed. The firm co-develops drug candidates with pharmaceutical and biotech partners and has used Atlas to discover new COVID drug candidates in under six months. Qubit intends to expand its teams to about 60 people split between Paris and Boston and to bolster the Atlas platform. The company plans to grow its pipeline to 10 in-house research programs in oncology and inflammation and to enter agreements with research centers and biopharmaceutical companies to accelerate their portfolios. Qubit has established partnerships with HPC and quantum players including Nvidia, GENCI, AWS, Pasqal and the University of Sherbrooke.
