Quentis Therapeutics is a preclinical-stage biotech translating ER stress biology into new immuno-oncology therapies. Its lead program is a first-in-class small-molecule IRE1α inhibitor designed to suppress XBP1 activity in the tumor microenvironment and restore anti-cancer immunity. The company is pursuing multiple additional ER stress pathway targets in the tumor microenvironment and in other diseases where ER stress is implicated. Quentis plans to advance its IRE1α inhibitor into the clinic in 2019 and through clinical proof-of-concept. The Series A financing will also fund development of a pipeline of preclinical programs and build out the company’s team. Quentis is privately held and headquartered in New York City, and was enabled by Highline Therapeutics under an agreement with Weill Cornell Medicine.
