Rad Propulsion develops autonomous and electric marine systems for defense and commercial operators, including electric propulsion systems and energy management technologies. The company launched Axon, an open systems architecture designed to simplify integration for autonomy providers and allow vessel systems to evolve independently. Over the past year RAD has delivered major customer programs and expanded its product portfolio, demonstrating commercial momentum. RAD plans to commercialize Axon, expand its electric propulsion offerings and continue development of next-generation systems. The company is also expanding internationally—having appointed its first U.S.-based employee—and will scale its applications engineering and delivery capability to meet rising demand. RAD recently closed a £4.4 million funding round led by Mercia Ventures to fund these growth priorities.
