Radio Physics Solutions develops imaging security scanners that use high‑frequency, ultra‑wideband radio waves to see through obstacles and clothing and detect plastic firearms produced by 3D printers. The company also builds bomb and weapons detectors and says its scanners can discriminate threats from benign objects such as phones, wallets, keys and belt buckles. RPS is applying the same sensing technology to help pilots navigate through fog, dust and smoke. The company is chaired by Lord Douglas Dundonald. RPS recently raised £700,000 via an equity crowdfunding raise on SyndicateRoom, providing fresh capital for product development and commercial activity. It was founded in 2009 and is based in the “Cyber Valley” area of Western England.
