Anode Labs is developing the React Network, a decentralized Web3 platform that lets participants connect home batteries (and later EV chargers) to a community-owned energy network. Participants earn cash and tokenized rewards based on the relative contribution of their assets. React creates a layer of flexibility intended to support grid decarbonization and reduce outage risk as climate impacts increase. The company cites the IEA’s estimate that grid flexibility must grow substantially by 2030 to meet Net Zero goals. React aims to open markets that value distributed storage and provide everyday homeowners with compensation for supporting the grid. Anode Labs is led by co-founders Dallas Griffin, Jason Badeaux, and Evan Caron and has secured initial outside funding to build the network.
