- Station70
Participated · Seed · Apr 2024
Station70 launched Bunker, the first product in its disaster recovery and business continuity suite for institutional cryptocurrency firms, and secured a $5 million seed round. Bunker provides a wallet-agnostic, zero-knowledge key backup and recovery solution that is agnostic to protocols, blockchains, and wallet providers. The product offers geographically configurable backups, beyond-industry-standard security and cryptography, integration with institutional wallet providers, read-only auditor and regulator access, and failover wallets to minimize single-counterparty risk. Station70 positions its services to help firms meet security and regulatory requirements and offers hosting options in numerous jurisdictions. The company said it will add additional wallet integrations this year to expand compatibility. Founders Adam Healy (former CISO at Bakkt and BlockFi) and Dr. Adam Everspaugh (former cryptographer at Coinbase) built the platform based on their institutional crypto experience.
- Gleen
Participated · Seed · Sep 2023
Gleen offers an enterprise-grade chatbot targeted at technical communities on Discord and Slack, with a focus on preventing LLM hallucinations. The startup built a proprietary machine-learning layer that sources and cross-checks enterprise knowledge; LLMs make up less than 20% of its tech stack. Its model was trained on 100,000 question‑and‑answer pairs and prioritizes retrieval and search to ensure accurate domain answers. Gleen began by serving a web3 customer on Discord but now derives more revenue from non-crypto users and charges customers by the number of bot conversations. The company is run by a team of eight and currently serves more than 10 paying customers. It plans to use new funding to build the product, expand sales and marketing, and educate users on hallucination, security, and compliance as it moves toward medium-sized enterprises and broader industry coverage.
- Fractal
Participated · Seed · Apr 2023
Fractal is an infrastructure provider that enables institutions to clear, settle, and margin digital asset trades on-chain. The company launched a beta with an initial cohort of clients using applications on the Avalanche blockchain and aims to integrate with Ava Labs’ institutional subnet efforts. Fractal plans to expand its offerings and launch institutional-grade products designed to improve capital efficiency, transparency, and simplify the user journey. It has offices in Switzerland and the British Virgin Islands and is based in Geneva, Switzerland. Fractal was founded by Aya Kantorovich and Alexandre Elkrief. The company recently raised $6M in Seed funding to support its product expansion.
- Ejara
Participated · Series A · Nov 2022
Ejara provides a mobile investment app that lets users buy, sell, exchange and store crypto using non‑custodial wallets and access tokenized savings products such as government bonds. The company recently launched a savings product that tokenizes government bonds and enables users to deposit as little as 1,000 CFA franc (~$1.5) and earn up to 10% interest on two‑year deposits. Ejara serves Francophone Africa (starting in Cameroon) and supports cross‑border transactions via stablecoins, and it obtained a license to extend offerings to the French‑speaking diaspora in Europe. The startup has pursued financial education initiatives to boost adoption, targeting women, girls and other underserved groups, and plans to expand its product suite — including a yet‑to‑launch fractional investing product — toward becoming a one‑stop financial app. Operating metrics cited in the articles include growth from 8,000 users last October to more than 70,000 users across nine Francophone African countries, 10x revenue growth and 15% month‑on‑month transaction volume growth since last October. Ejara positions itself as a web3‑focused contender against traditional asset managers by prioritizing user key ownership and accessibility. Ejara was founded by Nelly Chatue-Diop with cofounder Baptiste Andrieux to build a blockchain-based mobile investment platform for Francophone Africa. The product issues non-custodial wallets that let users securely buy, sell, exchange and store crypto assets. Ejara partners with MoonPay to enable remittances and serves more than 8,000 users across Cameroon, Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso, Mali, Guinea, Senegal and francophone Africans in the diaspora. The company reports initial traction was achieved with zero marketing budget and classifies users as savers planning for the future and business customers who transact frequently. Ejara plans to expand into other asset classes including fractional shares, stocks and commodities. The startup intends to use its recent seed funding to drive growth, deploy roadmap features and expand its product and tech teams.
- React Network
Participated · Equity · Nov 2022
Anode Labs is developing the React Network, a decentralized Web3 platform that lets participants connect home batteries (and later EV chargers) to a community-owned energy network. Participants earn cash and tokenized rewards based on the relative contribution of their assets. React creates a layer of flexibility intended to support grid decarbonization and reduce outage risk as climate impacts increase. The company cites the IEA’s estimate that grid flexibility must grow substantially by 2030 to meet Net Zero goals. React aims to open markets that value distributed storage and provide everyday homeowners with compensation for supporting the grid. Anode Labs is led by co-founders Dallas Griffin, Jason Badeaux, and Evan Caron and has secured initial outside funding to build the network.
