RedHill Biopharma focuses on acquiring and developing late clinical‑stage new formulations of existing drugs. The company has completed acquisitions or rights to six late clinical‑stage products, including RHB‑104, acquired from Giaconda for MAP infection in Crohn’s disease. RedHill has signed development agreements with IntelGenx for a VersaFilm® migraine formulation, with SCOLR Pharma for a chemotherapy‑induced nausea and vomiting formulation, and with Egalet for a congestive heart failure/high blood pressure drug formulation. Management said proceeds from the recent raise will be used to support ongoing late clinical‑stage development programs. The company plans to conduct several Phase II/III trials and intends to file two NDAs with the FDA during 2011. RedHill is also exploring a possible IPO on the Tel‑Aviv Stock Exchange.
