Regen Powertech manufactures gearless 1500 kW wind power generators and provides turnkey wind-power project solutions including consultancy, manufacturing, supply, erection, commissioning, and operations & maintenance. The company sells turbines under licence and the brand name of Vensys through a strategic alliance with Vensys Energy AG. It is executing orders including 50 MW projects for Tata Power, Compsgreen Infra and Bhilwara Group, a 100 MW project for New Power and GAIL, and a 25 MW project for TVS Energy. Regen plans to use the new funds to expand manufacturing capacity at its Udaipur plant and for project development. The company has previously raised capital from investors including Everstone Capital, IDFC Private Equity, M Cap Advisors and Summit FVCI and has discussed a Rs 400–500 crore IPO in 2012.
