Renalys Pharma is a Tokyo-based late-stage clinical biopharmaceutical company focused on developing innovative therapeutics for renal disease in Japanese and Asian patients. The company holds rights to sparsentan via a licensing agreement with Travere Therapeutics. Renalys aims to address “drug loss” by catalyzing access to new treatments for kidney disease across the region. It submitted an IND for sparsentan to Japan’s PMDA in April 2024 and plans to initiate an open-label registrational Phase III study in Q2 2024.
