  • Neusignal Therapeutics

    Participated · Series B · Jul 2026

Neusignal Therapeutics is developing NTX-083, a novel low-molecule compound intended to treat Alzheimer’s disease via a mechanism distinct from existing therapies. The company completed a physician-initiated single-dose Phase 1 trial at the University of Tokyo Hospital (Feb–Sep 2025) and a company-sponsored multiple-dose Phase 1 trial (Nov 2025–Mar 2026) in healthy adults, with both Japanese trials reporting high safety, strong tolerability, and favorable pharmacokinetics and no significant side effects. Neusignal plans to begin a Phase 1b trial in Alzheimer’s patients in the United States later this year. The company intends to use the Series B proceeds to fund that U.S. trial and to expand its workforce ahead of potential strategic alliances with global pharmaceutical firms. Neusignal originated from Tohoku University and is headquartered in Tokyo.

  • Metagen Therapeutics

    Participated · Series B · Feb 2026

Metagen Therapeutics is a Japanese university-spinout (Juntendo, Keio, Tokyo Tech) founded in 2020 that leverages microbiome science to create both drug products and FMT-based medical services. Its lead oral FMT candidate, MGT-006, targets ulcerative colitis and is scheduled to enter a Japan-U.S. Phase 1/2 international trial between April and June 2026. Clinically, the company has already demonstrated a 45.9 % remission-induction rate with its antibiotic-assisted FMT procedure in an advanced medical B program, with no serious adverse events observed. Additional clinical studies are under way for gastrointestinal cancers (MGT-007) and Parkinson’s disease (MGT-008). An in-house “donor stool bank” in Yamagata has collected more than 800 donations, supporting both clinical trials and eventual commercial supply. The firm also promotes social adoption of stool donation (“献便”) to secure a stable supply chain for its therapies. Cumulatively, the company has raised ¥5.46 billion, providing runway for pipeline advancement, supply-chain optimization, head-count growth and IPO preparation.

  • Fivot

    Participated · Series B · Nov 2025

Founded in 2019, Fivot aims to reinvent corporate and personal finance in Japan by operating two complementary businesses: the venture-debt platform Flex Capital and the Visa-branded cashless savings app IDARE. Flex Capital offers non-dilutive funding through venture debt, revenue-based financing and invoice-advance products, underpinned by a proprietary, AI-powered credit-scoring model. The service has originated more than ¥120 billion in loans to over 300 startups while maintaining a low default rate in the 0.3 % range. IDARE incentivizes users with a 2 % annual-equivalent bonus on balances and personalized, AI-based saving features, helping individuals build wealth while feeding liquidity back into Flex Capital’s lending pool. With fresh capital, the company plans to deepen AI research, refine its credit algorithms, scale marketing for both products and expand its lending reach to a broader set of SMEs. Cumulative equity financing now totals ¥25 billion, giving Fivot additional resources to pursue its vision of becoming a full-fledged challenger bank.

  • Trustart

    Participated · Series C · Aug 2025

Founded in May 2020 and headquartered in Minato, Tokyo, TRUSTART develops and provides R.E.DATA, a real-estate big-data platform that aggregates property and owner information. R.E.DATA holds over 900 million data items and the company reports about 700 corporate customers. TRUSTART positions itself to solve information fragmentation across the real-estate industry by expanding data types and providing AI-powered analytics and prediction features. The company expects 2025 revenue to exceed its 2023 annual sales by more than fourfold. TRUSTART plans to expand into corporate, human-flow, and financial data, strengthen platform capabilities, and is considering M&A as part of growth. Use of new funds will prioritize hires (sales, engineers, new-business leaders), system development, and marketing to accelerate the platform and broaden customer reach. TRUSTART collects diverse, timely real-estate data across Japan and packages it into the R.E.DATA Plus SaaS to support direct customer acquisition and profiling for real-estate, finance, and infrastructure clients. R.E.DATA Plus aggregates property movement and building information and enables users to filter by criteria such as inheritance/sale records, land area, use zone, nearest public price, nearest station and walking distance, condominium name, and construction year. The company recently updated R.E.DATA Plus to improve user experience and is developing access to its full dataset along with new data and features. TRUSTART says it will use the funds to expand into the large real-estate big-data market and accelerate product development. To support growth it is actively hiring across engineering, solution sales, corporate sales, and data operations roles. Cumulatively the company has raised about ¥800 million since founding.
