Founded in 2015 and based in Barcelona, Restb.ai is a computer vision company specializing in image recognition for real estate. Its plug-n-play solution automatically tags and classifies property photos with real-estate-specific information. The company was announced as a winner of the European Innovation Council (EIC) pilot under the Horizon 2020 programme and will receive €1.7 million in funding. As part of the award, Restb.ai will benefit from 12 days of free business coaching and acceleration services. The founders successfully passed the first and second stages of the EIC application and presented their technology to an expert jury of entrepreneurs, innovation experts and venture capitalists. Restb.ai was selected as one of 65 final winners out of roughly 1,660 proposals; the current EIC phase provides about €110 million to 65 startups, with each company receiving up to €2.5 million.
