Laan van Vredenoord 33, Rijswijk, Zuid-Holland, 2289DA, Netherlands
Overview
Retail Rocket provides a retention-management platform that uses a mathematical model to segment first-time buyers and personalize outreach via email, web push, SMS and campaign-management tools. The platform includes an engine that attempts to identify optimal timing and communication channels and the company operates on a performance-based pricing model for e-commerce clients. Launched in 2012, Retail Rocket has grown to more than 1,000 customers, including Nintendo, Puma and Decathlon, and employs around 150 people across offices in the Netherlands, Germany, Spain, Italy and Chile. The company recently acquired SailPlay, a New York-based loyalty-software startup founded in 2013 that had raised $3.3 million prior to the acquisition. Retail Rocket plans to double down on mergers and purchases and has set aside $50 million for acquisitions. According to the CEO, the company saw a pandemic-related revenue spike that settled to levels above pre-lockdown months.
