RetentionGrid offers a predictive microsegmentation SaaS application aimed at non-technical marketing and sales users to improve customer retention for small and midsize e-commerce shops. Launched in April 2013 by co-founders Kevin Dykes, David Anderson, Karsten Rieke, and Sandy Hathaway, the company is based in Berlin, Germany. In its first ten months it signed up thousands of e-commerce shops across more than 50 countries. Version 2.0 introduces technology that predicts which shoppers are most likely to place a next order, when they will buy again, what they will be interested in, and automatically sends individualized campaigns. The company was selected for the SAP Startup Focus Program with access to SAP HANA technology. It plans to use the seed funds to expand the platform and introduce an API so any e-commerce business can integrate with RetentionGrid.
