Return Entertainment is a Finland-based studio developing cloud-native games and technology that deliver console-quality visuals and simulations via cloud computing. The company aims to remove hardware barriers by offering one-click access and seamless switching between playing and watching. Its upcoming titles are built from the ground up for cloud, enabling full cross-play between browsers on mobile, tablet and PC. Return is working on two initial games designed to take advantage of cloud-powered visuals, physics and real-time interaction between players, streamers and viewers. The studio was founded in 2019 by seven industry veterans, including CEO Antti Sartanen, CTO Tuomas Paavola and lead designer Toni Hollming, whose prior ventures include acquisitions by Hexagon and Next Games. The team positions its platform to make high-fidelity, shareable gaming experiences more accessible and easy to join than a video call.
