Revel is a community and event platform that launched in the San Francisco Bay Area in 2019 and serves women over 40. The platform enables members to self-organize in-person and virtual events; by the end of 2020 members were organizing more than 50 virtual events per week. The community is over 5,000 members strong, largely based in San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Diego and Washington, DC. Revel acquired The Woolfer, a NYC-based social platform and website for women over 40, and will integrate the two brands under the Revel name. The acquisition is expected to double the size of Revel’s community and expand its national footprint. A fully integrated website is expected to launch in October as a one-stop destination for conversations, events and content for women 40+; Nina Lorez Collins of The Woolfer will remain as Chief Creative Officer.
