RightRice makes a shelf-stable vegetable rice grain composed of over 90% vegetables that provides more than double the protein, five times the fiber, and nearly 40% fewer net carbs than white rice. The product comes in an Original variety and three seasoned flavors (Lemon Pepper, Spanish, Garlic Herb), using real herbs and spices and positioned as non-GMO, vegan, and low glycemic. Created by popchips founder Keith Belling, RightRice launched in 2019 and is headquartered in San Francisco. The brand launched exclusively in Whole Foods Markets nationwide and on Amazon. RightRice closed $5.5 million in funding to support growth and its mission to transform the rice category. Management intends to use the financing and investor network to drive distribution and scale the business.
