Overview
Riskwolf provides a technology platform that enables insurers to build and operate parametric insurance products for digital and weather-related risks. The platform uses real-time data and dynamic risk modelling to detect weather and network anomalies, model risk, and make payouts in real time. Its solution targets use cases including transport and travel, IoT and machine breakdowns, non-business interruptions, and coverage for SMEs, gig workers, delivery drivers and farmers. Riskwolf has onboarded its first customers, including a global re-insurer planning an ASEAN launch, and has signed MOUs for pilots across Asia, the DACH region, the UK and Canada. The company has conducted market validation in India with swissnex India and is pursuing projects there as part of its expansion plans. To support growth and pilots in identified markets, Riskwolf raised bridge financing and is preparing a seed round later this year. Founded in 2019 and operating with a team of about 10, Riskwolf builds data-driven parametric solutions to help insurance companies close a protection gap for digital risks. Its core products aim to protect digital businesses from vulnerabilities such as network, service, and internet outages that can cause revenue and reputational losses. The company works with insurers to offer coverage for losses tied to internet outages and degradations. In India Riskwolf is creating a multiple-peril product for food delivery drivers covering internet connectivity outages, weather-related lost revenue, and service cancellations. In Vietnam it is collaborating on channel and end-point protection for e-commerce to cover both supply-side and demand-side outages. Financially, Riskwolf has closed a $750,000 pre-seed round, according to Crunchbase.
