Overview
Roadtrippers is a web-based software application for planning road trips. Led by founder and CEO James Fisher, the company launched in July 2012. Roadtrippers has 825,000 unique visitors per month. The company intends to use the newly raised funds to continue developing the platform and to expand nationally and internationally. Founded in Savannah, Ga., by CEO James Fisher and Tatiana Parent, Roadtrippers provides an application that allows road travelers to discover, plan and book attractions, amenities and experiences hand-picked by local experts and travel writers. The company is described as Cincinnati-based and has launched a beta version of its service. Roadtrippers closed $250k in funding from CincyTech and three individual investors. It intends to use the capital to expand content partnerships and further develop internal purchasing routes. Beginning at the end of June, users will be able to book accommodations along routes directly through the site.
