Rocsole develops SEE BEYOND tomographic imaging systems and artificial intelligence solutions that deliver accurate online data for process optimization. Customers use that data to optimize processes and achieve major savings in operational costs. The company has been piloting its solutions across a variety of industries and applications. Rocsole intends to use newly raised funds to grow the team, upgrade infrastructure and facilities, and focus on scalability and product improvements and features. The company raised €5m in a Series A funding round and is led by CEO Mika Tienhaara. Rocsole provides electrical and ultrasound tomographic industrial process monitoring systems. Its current products include a pipe sensor for both topside and subsea pipes that delivers real-time information on flow and deposition buildup through probe sensor technology and can be used in separators when extracting oil and water. The company intends to use the funds to expand its product portfolio with a smart deposition pig sensor that enables efficient deposition monitoring of a customer’s entire pipe network from the inside. Once deposition has been located, a measuring device from the current product family may be permanently installed in the areas discovered during inspection to monitor and identify deposits. With detailed information on pipe deposits, operators can prevent pipe clogging that can lead to lost production and costs from downtime and chemical cleaning. Rocsole is led by Chairman Anssi Lehikoinen and operates from Kuopio, Finland, with a sales and service office in Houston, Texas.
