Rosa's Thai Cafe operates an authentic Thai restaurant concept rooted in Saiphin’s traditional cooking. The brand began as a Brick Lane market stall in 2006 and opened its original Spitalfields restaurant in 2008. It currently runs six sites including Chelsea, Carnaby Street, Soho, Westfield Stratford, Angel and Spitalfields. Santander has invested £1.8m into the business, including an £800,000 Growth Capital loan. The funding will support opening three new restaurants in 2016 (Victoria, Brixton and Shoreditch) and the company expects the openings to create 100 jobs over the next two years. The investment was provided under Santander’s Breakthrough programme; Santander’s growth loans are available to businesses with turnovers of up to £50m a year.
