RxAll
165 Whitney Avenue, New Haven, Connecticut, 06511, United States
Overview
RxAll’s core product is the RxScanner, a handheld molecular-spectroscopy authenticator that the company says can identify prescription drug quality in about 20 seconds and report results via mobile apps. The company pairs the scanner with a curated marketplace where sellers push batch-tested, authenticated medicines for on-demand ordering, pickup and delivery. RxAll generates revenue through marketplace transaction commissions and subscriptions for individual and business customers who use the RxScanner. The startup says it is already serving ten cities, validating authenticity for about 1 million patients and servicing over 2,000 hospitals and pharmacies in Nigeria, and plans to add 14 more cities before year-end with a pan-African expansion next year. Customers include patients, hospitals, pharmacies and government agencies; the company is pursuing partnerships to scale across Nigeria, Africa, Southeast Asia, North America and South America. Founded by Yale students in 2016, RxAll has sustained itself with grants, prizes and some equity financing while preparing to commercialize its deep-tech solution more broadly. Founded in 2016, RxAll builds a proprietary molecular sensor called the RxScanner that detects the quality of prescription medication in seconds and displays results on iOS and Android apps. The company works with drug regulatory agencies and stakeholders to help patients, pharmacies, and hospitals purchase authenticated, non‑counterfeit medicine online and deliver drugs to the correct marketplace. RxAll was founded by CEO Adebayo Alonge with co‑founders Amy Kao and Wei Lui; Alonge has a pharmacy background and personal experience with counterfeit medicine. The startup has been selected to join Founders Factory Africa’s six‑month Venture Scale Programme, which provides tailored support and access to investor partnerships. As part of the programme, RxAll will receive a package of cash and services to support growth and scaling across African markets. FFA and its investor partners have positioned the company to expand impact and market reach through the programme’s network and resources.
