  • Fincart

    Led · Seed · Jul 2026

Fincart builds a software platform that consolidates logistics, payments, and customer operations for e-commerce merchants. Founded in 2023 by Mostafa Masry and Nihal Ali and based in Egypt, the company aims to simplify merchants’ back-end workflows. Following its oversubscribed seed raise, Fincart plans to expand its product offerings and grow its team. The startup intends to use the new capital to enter additional markets across MENA and Africa. No revenue, user metrics, or valuation were disclosed in the announcement.

  • REasy

    Participated · Seed · Oct 2025

Founded in 2023, REasy delivers an integrated trade-finance application that combines foreign-exchange payments, logistics support and regulatory compliance for African small and medium-sized importers. The platform links local payment methods such as Orange Money, MTN Mobile Money and bank transfers with international rails like Alipay, WeChat Pay and UnionPay, while also embedding customs brokerage and freight-forwarding services. A recent collaboration with the Bank of Central African States created a multi-currency FX mechanism that lets clients pay suppliers within minutes rather than weeks, turning the Central African Franc into euros through the central-bank channel. REasy already serves thousands of importers on the $3.71 billion China-Cameroon trade corridor, helping reduce transaction costs, fraud risk and settlement times. Backed by a $1.8 million pre-seed round, the company is enhancing its tech stack, securing new licences and preparing to enter Nigeria and other West African markets. Between 2027 and 2028 it plans to integrate with the Pan-African Payment and Settlement System, and by 2030 it targets South-South routes such as India–East Africa and Brazil–West Africa, with an ambition to support more than one million African import businesses.

  • Affinity

    Participated · Seed · Feb 2025

Affinity Africa runs a full-stack digital bank aimed at closing Ghana’s financial inclusion gap by offering free current and savings accounts, instant payments, and algorithmically priced credit lines to individuals and MSMEs. Launched publicly last October, the Accra-based app has already attracted more than 50,000 customers, 65% of whom had never used formal banking before and over 60% of whom are women working in the informal sector. The fintech disburses credit at monthly interest rates of 3–7% and has issued more than $15 million in loans while maintaining a 3% non-performing loan ratio. Loans contribute over 90% of revenue, which has climbed 37% month-over-month during the past six months; deposit inflows, growing 54% month-over-month, are sourced mainly (89%) from mobile-money top-ups. Affinity complements its mobile product with an in-person agent network of about 30 representatives who have onboarded roughly half of its customers, 55% of whom subsequently migrate to the app. The hybrid distribution strategy aims to build trust and accelerate digital adoption among first-time banking users. With a proprietary banking software stack and regulatory approval under a savings-and-loans license, the company plans to deepen its product suite and scale nationwide using newly secured capital.

  • PBR Life Sciences

    Participated · Seed · Dec 2024

Founded in 2015 and based in Nigeria, PBR Life Sciences provides healthcare and pharmaceutical data analytics across African markets. The funds will be used to enhance its AI infrastructure and support expansion into Ghana and Kenya. The raise positions PBR to scale its analytics offerings across more African markets.

  • Octavia Carbon

    Participated · Seed · Oct 2024

Octavia is a Direct Air Capture (DAC) company that designs and operates machines to extract CO2 from ambient air, liquefy it, and hand it to a storage partner for underground mineralization. Founded in Kenya two years ago, it began field carbon capture in February and currently operates two devices with a combined capacity of 50 tonnes per year. The startup plans to build more machines and expects to reach a capture capacity of 1,500 tonnes per year beginning in 2025 when a storage site run by partner Cella Mineral Storage comes online. Octavia cites Kenya’s Rift Valley basalts and abundant renewable energy (notably geothermal) as competitive advantages for low-carbon, permanent storage. The company has a 60-person team (40 engineers), is an XPRIZE Carbon Removal finalist, and reports 12 customers to date, with the Danish marketplace Klimate among its largest clients. Financially, Octavia closed a $3.9M seed equity round and has secured $1.1M in advance sales of carbon credits to help scale operations.
