Led · Seed · Mar 2026
Cybervergent’s cloud-based platform lets organisations continuously monitor governance, risk, and compliance metrics, replacing periodic manual audits with real-time oversight of data protection, security policies, and regulatory requirements. Founded by Adetokunbo Omotosho and Ayomide I. Daniels, the company already supports hundreds of enterprises in West, East, and Southern Africa. Its use of artificial intelligence to automate regulatory workflows earned it recognition as a 2025 World Economic Forum Technology Pioneer. With governments across the continent tightening data-protection and financial-sector rules, Cybervergent is positioning itself as a one-stop compliance solution. The startup plans to channel new capital into scaling its technology stack and entering additional African markets, deepening its regional footprint. - OmniRetail
Participated · Series A · Apr 2025
OmniRetail digitizes order management for FMCG manufacturers, distributors and informal retailers across Nigeria, Ghana and Ivory Coast. It serves 145 manufacturers, more than 5,800 distributors and over 150,000 retailers across 12 cities, supported by a third-party logistics network of 1,100+ vehicles and 85 local logistics partners. The company embeds finance via Omnipay, which processed over ₦1.3 trillion in transactions last year and disbursed ₦19 billion monthly in inventory credit with near-zero defaults. OmniRetail pursues an asset-light "network of networks" model that delivered profitability: it was EBITDA positive in 2023 and net profitable in 2024. The 2024 acquisition of Traction Apps added full-stack payment capabilities, POS terminals, PSSP and Super Agent licenses and retailer-level sales data. With new capital the company plans to deepen embedded finance products, expand its retailer base and product categories (personal care, home care, cold storage), upgrade infrastructure, enhance credit underwriting and strengthen partnerships with domestic debt providers while pursuing a local debt raise to scale its loan book.

Participated · Seed · Dec 2024
Juicyway builds stablecoin-powered infrastructure for fast, cheap cross-border payments and liquidity for businesses. The three-year-old startup operated in stealth and says it processed roughly 25,000 transactions, $1.3 billion in total payment volume and over $1 billion in cross-border payments from about 4,000 users. Its product offers liquidity pools, real-time market-driven pricing and APIs and web/mobile apps supporting currencies including the Nigerian naira, USD, GBP and CAD. Juicyway counts customers such as Bolt, IHS, Piggyvest, Bamboo, Afriex and Mocoh SA and acquired a similar business early in its growth. To manage regulatory and AML risk it has obtained money-transmitter licenses in the U.S., U.K., Canada and Nigeria, partners with banks and stablecoin infrastructure providers (Access Bank, Bridge, Lead Bank) and uses Sumsub and senior compliance hires for KYC/KYB/KYT.
- Maad
Led · Seed · May 2024
Maad is a B2B e-commerce startup based in Senegal that operates an end-to-end distribution platform enabling informal retailers to source FMCG directly from partner suppliers. Customers place orders via a call center, field agents, or the app (which accounts for 75% of orders), and Maad fulfills orders from its warehouses using an in-house delivery service. The company serves 6,500 active retailers through a network of 80 suppliers and reports a monthly GMV of $3 million. Maad began in 2020 as a data-collection provider before pivoting to distribution software and launching its B2B e-commerce business in September 2021. It plans to expand coverage to remote areas within Senegal, enter a Francophone market by year-end, and introduce a buy-now-pay-later service to enable shop owners to access inventory on credit. Maad emphasizes owning logistics to reduce costs and ensure service reliability for low-margin FMCG distribution.
