Samp
15-17 rue de Bucarest, Paris, Île-de-France, 75008, France
Overview
Samp offers a web-based “shared reality” platform that generates AI-driven digital twins of industrial facilities in just a few days from field data. The platform reconciles 3D scans with technical documentation (schematics, inventories, drawings) that is often incomplete or out of date. Samp’s patented solution leverages Artificial Intelligence and 3D streaming to simplify modernization and maintenance workflows. Customers that have implemented the solution include Engie, SUEZ, VEOLIA, Teréga, Trapil, and SFDM. Founded in 2019 by Shivani Shah (ex-CEA) and Laurent Bourgouin (ex-Dassault Systèmes) and based in Paris, the company plans to use new funding to scale up and deploy its shared reality solution internationally. The company recently raised €6M to support that expansion. Samp develops a web-based 'shared reality' solution that combines existing site data with 3D imagery captured from the field to produce accurate digital twins in days. Its patented AI and 3D technology continuously updates the model so all stakeholders—operators, engineers and subcontractors—can collaborate during complex modernization projects. The platform aims to accelerate and de-risk transformations of industrial sites toward safer, more environmentally and financially sustainable operations. Samp's technology has been deployed on projects with major water and energy groups including ENGIE, SUEZ, Teréga and Trapil. The company highlights DeepTech credentials across its team (3 PhDs and 8 patents) and industrial experience in its leadership. In October 2022 Samp announced a €4 million fundraising to consolidate its position in France and begin international expansion.
