The companies we invest in range from pre-seed to Series A, and have already built something tangible to back their bigger vision. We are especially excited about applications in robotics, AI and autonomous systems, connectivity, data processing and sensing technology, circularity, and biomaterials. Our initial investments range from 0,5–3M€, with additional capital available for the best performers via follow-on investments. As our fund's lifetime is longer than average, we are there to support our portfolio companies long-term. We invest both as lead investor and as a co-investor to ensure seamless collaboration with other investors.

mkind develops AI-native robotic work cells intended to automate variable industrial tasks such as surface finishing, welding and coating. Its system is designed to learn new parts in minutes without requiring code, targeting processes that have been difficult to automate due to variability and manual labor reliance. The company aims to provide flexible robotics for high-mix production environments where manufacturers face labor shortages. The €3 million pre-seed funding will support early-stage development of mkind’s flexible robotics platform. The startup is headquartered in Munich and is positioning its technology to help European manufacturers increase automation in complex production workflows.

The platform delivers recommendations, root-cause analysis, and suggested actions rather than simple alerts, aiming to replicate expert decision-making at scale. Rotomate targets the gap created by abundant sensor data but limited specialist capacity to interpret it, enabling maintenance teams to prioritise issues more effectively. The company says its system can significantly reduce time spent on manual monitoring and make expert-level analysis available across a larger number of assets. Rotomate plans to use recent funding to accelerate product development, expand internationally, and grow its engineering, product, and commercial teams. Founded in 2017 as a spin-off from Tampere University of Technology’s Optoelectronics Research Centre, Vexlum develops and manufactures vertically-integrated semiconductor laser systems that deliver high power at precisely controlled wavelengths. Its Vertical-External-Cavity Surface-Emitting Laser (VECSEL) platform addresses the shortage of compact, cost-effective, high-power lasers required for trapped-ion quantum computers, optical atomic clocks, semiconductor metrology, and satellite free-space communications. The company controls the full value chain, growing III-V semiconductor wafers via molecular beam epitaxy, fabricating chips in-house, and integrating them into complete laser systems. Operations are based in Tampere, Finland, with an additional presence in Boulder, Colorado. The newly raised capital will fund an expanded fabrication facility in Tampere, moving production from boutique volumes to industrial scale. Management targets €100 million in annual revenue by 2030 as it broadens adoption beyond quantum laboratories into wider photonics and space markets.

Euler is an Icelandic spin-out from the Technical University of Denmark that applies deep AI and process expertise to fault detection in laser powder bed fusion (LPBF) and selective laser sintering (SLS) 3D-printing processes. Its software connects to leading industrial 3D printers, ingesting camera data to flag defects before they occur without requiring additional monitoring hardware. Early customers such as Alloyed, KMWE, the Danish Technological Institute, and the Korea Institute of Industrial Technology use Euler to cut failed-build time by 77 % and lift overall equipment effectiveness–driven revenue by more than 20 %. By reducing scrap and rework, the platform helps regulated sectors like aerospace and defence meet stringent safety and performance standards. The company is now protecting its technology through trademark registrations and three patent filings. Proceeds from its recent seed financing will fund product development, team expansion, and accelerated platform rollout as it seeks broader adoption across the $20 billion global additive-manufacturing market.
