    Porelio is a Germany-based deeptech startup founded in 2025 that develops Functionalized Ordered Mesoporous Silicas (FOMS) for industrial separation and water treatment. Its patented continuous-flow manufacturing process enables industrial-scale production of FOMS and is reported to be roughly 30 times faster than conventional production methods while operating under more sustainable conditions. The materials are regenerable and have shown strong performance in proof-of-concept projects across Europe, capturing palladium around six times faster than conventional adsorption technologies and removing more trifluoroacetic acid (TFA) than commercial activated carbon under comparable conditions. Porelio is moving from pilot-scale manufacturing measured in kilograms per day toward industrial production measured in tonnes per year. The company intends to use recent funding to accelerate technology development, scale production, and convert industrial collaborations into commercial partnerships.     ATMOS Space Cargo develops free-flying orbital transfer and re-entry vehicles (PHOENIX family) and offers space logistics services to commercial, institutional, and defence customers. PHOENIX 2 is described as a free-flying spacecraft with integrated propulsion and power capable of missions from hours to several months in LEO, performing autonomous de-orbit and controlled atmospheric re-entry using an Inflatable Atmospheric Decelerator (IAD) that is non-ablative and acts as a heat shield and aerodynamic brake. The company plans an initial three-vehicle PHOENIX 2 fleet operated as a phased campaign and is preparing recovery operations near Santa Maria in the Azores under an ANACOM licence. ATMOS is also developing PHOENIX 3, a next-generation return vehicle with an intended payload capacity of roughly one metric tonne, about ten times PHOENIX 2’s capacity. To serve governmental and defence needs it is launching ATMOS WORKS, a dedicated dual-use business unit. The company raised €25.7M in a Series A to fund these activities, including the PHOENIX 2 build, ATMOS WORKS launch, and PHOENIX 3 development, with participation from the EIC Accelerator which provides blended grant and equity financing.

Its first two devices, Lilac and Lily, are designed to mitigate common chemotherapy side effects—peripheral neuropathy and hair loss—and are currently in multi-center clinical trials across the US and Europe, with commercial launch targeted for 2027. The company plans to open access to home cancer care at 40 partner oncology clinics and introduce a patient-led home infusion technology by mid-2026. Clinical data from its neuropathy prevention study are expected in mid-2026, which will inform regulatory and market rollout. Luminate operates from Galway with additional offices in Chicago, San Antonio and Omaha. Including the latest raise, the startup has secured $50 million in funding to date, supporting product development, clinical validation and commercial expansion.

    Founded in 2022, London-based Biographica has built a crop- and trait-agnostic platform that combines large multi-modal genomic datasets, knowledge graphs, and foundation models to predict which genes causally drive desirable agronomic traits. By feeding rapid experimental results back into its models, the company claims it can identify proven gene targets 12× faster than traditional GWAS and QTL approaches while also uncovering novel targets missed by legacy methods. The technology can deliver partners either ranked target lists or experimentally validated traits ready for field trials, and has already been piloted with two of the world’s top five seed companies as well as Cibus and BASF’s vegetable-seed arm Nunhems. Commercial traction to date comes from these paid pilots and contracts rather than product sales, but early accuracy data generated inside customer pipelines served as technical validation for investors. Biographica plans to use new capital to expand its proprietary data collection, extend the platform to additional crops and traits, and deepen commercial relationships across the seed industry. Ultimately, the company positions itself as the AI layer that converts abundant genome data into actionable edits, aiming to accelerate yield improvements and climate resilience in global agriculture.
