  Freshsound is a self-serve instant licensing platform for commercially released music that helps content creators across commercials, films, TV and gaming. The platform features pricing algorithms and recommendation solutions to find and license music. It enables entertainment and advertising companies to deliver content for their customers' needs. Founded in 2021 in Stockholm by Stevie Gyasi and Sara Larsson, Freshsound raised €2M in Seed funding. The round was led by Zenith Venture Capital and Aligned, with participation from Kristina Tunkrans, Erik Segerborg, Gustav Nordlindh, William Olsson and Shiv Prakash. Freshsound intends to use the funds to go international while continuing to grow in the Nordic market. Freshsound is a Stockholm-based music tech startup founded in 2021 by Stephen Gyasi and Sara Larsson that offers an automated pre-cleared licensing platform and marketplace for original music. The platform combines music discovery and a dynamic pricing model to give creators and brands instant quotes and enable immediate licensing for visual content. Freshsound aims to remove the traditional friction in sync licensing—complex negotiations and slow clearance—while keeping rights holders in control and allowing track-by-track terms. It has signed agreements with over 60 labels and publishers and has been used by ad agencies including McCann and Forsman Bodenfors. The team draws experience from Warner Music, V2 Music, Hipgnosis, Spotify, Epidemic Sound, EMI, Sony Music and other industry firms. The company recently raised €1.3 million and plans to use the funding to accelerate commercial expansion, expand its catalogue, and invest in product development and R&D, with launches planned in the Nordics, Germany and the UK.
