- Hedda
Participated · Seed · Sep 2025
Hedda develops an AI-powered platform that interprets tender requirements, extracts mandatory criteria, and drafts responses using a company’s existing data and past bids. Targeting the €875 billion European public procurement market, the software helps teams produce higher-quality bids faster by automating content creation and streamlining collaboration. Its unified interface offers transparent, source-based suggestions, integrates with tools such as SharePoint, and supports full data sovereignty to boost compliance and confidence. The founding team—Zakarias Hedenfal (CEO), Maximillian Claesson (CTO), Fredrik Juvet (CPO), and Fabian Platoff (CRO)—combines AI expertise with startup and financial-services backgrounds. Hedda cites a €55 billion addressable market in Nordic public procurement alone, underscoring its growth potential. Although operating metrics like revenue or user numbers have not been disclosed, the company plans to use new capital to expand its engineering team and strengthen its go-to-market strategy.
- Lightbringer
Participated · Seed · Dec 2024
Founded in 2023, Lightbringer has built an AI-native platform that combines agentic AI with oversight from expert patent lawyers to automate and accelerate patent processes. The platform integrates intellectual property strategy, patent filing, and portfolio management in a single offering and is sold via a fixed-price subscription model. Lightbringer says its approach can reduce patent filing timelines from around two months to just a few days while lowering costs compared with traditional law-firm workflows. The company targets startups, SMEs, and deeptech firms that face lengthy, expensive, and complex patent processes and a shortage of specialist patent lawyers. With the new Series A funding, Lightbringer plans to further develop its AI capabilities and expand its operations into the US market.
- Cerve
Participated · Seed · Dec 2024
Cerve provides a technology platform and APIs that enable organisations to build custom applications and automations across the food supply chain. The platform aims to drive profitability, commercial growth, reduce food waste and enhance food security by standardising data exchange and addressing legacy platform limitations. Today, over 2,000 organisations across the UK and Europe use Cerve’s infrastructure, including retailers, wholesalers, manufacturers and producers. The company plans to accelerate commercial expansion across the UK, Europe and North America and to strengthen its R&D capabilities. Hiring additional engineering, product and technical support teams is a stated priority for the use of funds. The company is led by founder and CEO Dan Mazig (with David Walker noted as CCO). Cerve is a Sweden-based food tech startup offering an infrastructure platform that automates wholesalers' sales operations. Its platform integrates with a wholesaler's ERP to digitize processes and provide a more tailored buying experience for B2B buyers. The company targets food and beverage wholesalers that remain dependent on manual processes and legacy backend systems, a problem highlighted during the pandemic and in the post-COVID digitization push. Cerve has raised a $2 million seed round, reflecting its current early-stage financing status. The seed was led by Orkla Ventures, with MP Pensjon and nFront Ventures joining the cap table. Daniel Holth Larsen of Orkla Ventures said Cerve 'hits the nail on the head' with its proven value proposition and looks forward to supporting the team on their journey.
- Valpas
Led · Seed · Jun 2024
Valpas offers smart anti-bedbug bed legs and an IoT/AI-enabled mobile web app with in-app image recognition to keep rooms bedbug-safe 24/7 without chemicals. Its hardware prevents transferred pests from infesting rooms and the app helps identify and dispose of sightings. The company is already working with over 300 hotels across 40+ destinations, including premium brands such as Accor Hotels, The Luxury Collection, Design Hotels, ARP-Hansen and Bob W. The €4m seed investment will be used to ramp up production to meet increased demand ahead of a busy summer of international sport and travel. Valpas also plans to build partnerships with travel booking agents and platforms to make it easier for travellers to identify and choose bedbug-safe hotels. Valpas Enterprises develops an IoT bioengineered wellness system built into smart bed legs that trap and detect bed bugs and connect to a monitoring platform. Hotels replace existing bed legs with Valpas’ smart legs to monitor rooms in real time and receive notifications when bed bugs are caught inside the legs. The platform combines physical traps and sensors with notifications to prevent hitchhiking bed bug incidents and allow hotels to communicate they are not open for bed bugs. The company positions the solution as transforming the negative stigma associated with bed bugs into a competitive advantage for hotels. Valpas intends to use newly raised funds to advance internationalization and the mass production of its solution. The company is led by CEO Martim Gois.
