Sanaria’s second‑generation candidate, PfSPZ‑CVac (Chemoprophylaxis Vaccine), targets increased potency and reduced costs. The company is also advancing human monoclonal antibodies selected for potency and manufacturability to provide immediate short‑term protection against malaria. A portion of recent funding is directed to OraCOV, an oral, self‑administered SARS‑CoV‑2 vaccine candidate derived from Sanaria’s malaria work.
