Sanaria’s lead product, the PfSPZ Vaccine, is a radiation‑attenuated whole‑organism malaria vaccine designed to elicit an immune response without causing disease, aiming to provide robust and durable protection. The PfSPZ Vaccine is on the verge of Phase III clinical trials and is positioned to be the world’s first malaria vaccine to receive marketing authorization. Sanaria’s second‑generation candidate, PfSPZ‑CVac (Chemoprophylaxis Vaccine), targets increased potency and reduced costs. The company is also advancing human monoclonal antibodies selected for potency and manufacturability to provide immediate short‑term protection against malaria. A portion of recent funding is directed to OraCOV, an oral, self‑administered SARS‑CoV‑2 vaccine candidate derived from Sanaria’s malaria work. The new funding supports continued clinical development and proof‑of‑concept studies across these programs.
