Santa Ana Bio
1105 Atlantic Ave, Suite 104, Alameda, California, 94501, United States
Overview
Santa Ana Bio leverages proteomic, transcriptomic and genomic approaches to precisely characterize disease-specific cell subpopulations and identify targets restricted to pathogenic cells. The company applies protein engineering modalities including monoclonal antibodies, bi-specific antibodies and antibody–drug conjugates (ADCs) to build therapies intended to spare healthy tissue. Since launching in 2022, Santa Ana has advanced three programs—SAB01 (a conditional c‑Kit bi‑specific targeting mast cells), SAB03 (a PD‑1 agonist designed to eliminate a range of pathogenic PD‑1–expressing T cells) and SAB05 (an antibody‑glucocorticoid conjugate technology)—each named development candidates and poised to enter Phase I testing starting next year. The platform aims to address limitations of current biologics such as patient heterogeneity, durability of response and safety. Santa Ana is headquartered in Alameda, California, and has raised $168 million to date from leading life‑sciences investors. Leadership includes CEO Peter Emtage and a board and scientific advisory group of prominent immunologists and industry executives.
