ScienceMachine builds Sam, a fully autonomous AI agent that automates the entire data-analysis pipeline for biotech and pharmaceutical research. Sam integrates with existing databases and lab workflows to continuously process experimental data, handling tasks from data cleaning and exploratory analysis to visualization without manual intervention. The company says Sam produces the output that would normally require a team of data scientists, accelerating research cycles and reducing costs. Early customers report results a third of the time, at a fraction of the price, and of a higher quality than they could have achieved on their own, and one month after launch ScienceMachine already has multiple contracts and a fast-growing inbound-driven pipeline. ScienceMachine claims to have delivered production-grade AI automation and will use new funding to support product development and hiring, particularly in sales and pharma partnerships. The company plans to expand its customer base from biotech startups into larger companies where annual contract values are higher and scalable data automation is needed.
